NEW YORK, Feb. 4 (UPI) -- Detroit center Pavel Datsyuk, who had a league-leading seven points last week, was selected as one of the top three NHL players of the week Monday.

The NHL picks three players to honor each week. This week, including Datsyuk, NHL officials chose Dallas goaltender Marty Turco and New York Rangers center Chris Drury. Games played Jan. 28-Feb. 3 were considered for this week's awards.

Datsyuk had a goal and six assists in helping Detroit collect three victories as the Red Wings extended their lead in the overall standings to 16 points. Datsyuk pulled into a tie with Henrik Zetterberg for the team lead in scoring. Datsyuk has 18 goals and 47 assists this season.

Turco won all three of his games last week in a Western Canada road swing, allowing 1.67 goals a game and saving nearly 95 percent of the shots on the Dallas goal. He improved to 22-11-4 on the season.

Drury amasses four goals and two assists in a 3-1 week for the Rangers. He had a pair of goals -- including the game-winner -- in a 3-1 win Friday over New Jersey.
