NHL: Minnesota 4, Columbus 1

COLUMBUS, Ohio, Feb. 2 (UPI) -- Marian Gaborik scored twice in a three-goal second period Saturday night, leading the Minnesota Wild to a 4-1 win over Columbus.

Brian Rolston and Kurtis Foster also scored, Pavol Demitra had two assists, and Niklas Backstrom stopped 33 shots for the Wild, who have won four of their last five games.

Derick Brassard scored the Blue Jackets only goal. Fredrik Norrena posted 16 saves for Columbus, which has lost three straight games.

Minnesota scored first when Foster's shot got past Norrena who was screened out of the play at the time. Brassard got the equalizer at 3:40 of the second, but Rolston put the Wild back in front when he scored off a feed from Pierre-Marc Bouchard at 5:52 of the second.

Gaborik followed with his two goals to put Minnesota up 4-1.
