TERRE HAUTE, Ind., Feb. 2 (UPI) -- Adam Emmenecker had 20 points and eight assists Saturday to lead the 17th-ranked Drake Bulldogs to an 83-77 victory over the Indiana State Sycamores.
Emmenecker had 16 of his points in the second half for the Bulldogs (20-1, 11-0 MVC), who posted their school-record 19th straight victory. Josh Young added 18 points and Leonard Houston 16 for Drake, which hit 56 percent in the second half to overcome a five-point halftime deficit.
Gabe Moore had 19 points and seven assists and Todd McCoy added 13 points for the Sycamores (10-11, 5-6), who have lost three in a row and five of six. Harry Marshall and Marico Stinson each had 12 points for Indiana State.
Young made a three-pointer to give the Bulldogs the lead for good at 51-48 inside of 11 minutes left.
