ATLANTA, Feb. 1 (UPI) -- Eric Perrin scored the only goal in the shootout Friday, giving the Atlanta Thrashers a 5-4 comeback win over Buffalo.
Perrin delivered in the fourth round by faking a backhander and then beating Jocelyn Thibault on the forehand side.

Atlanta twice overcame a one-goal deficit in the third period and forced overtime when Tobias Enstrom scored a power-play goal with 18 seconds remaining.
The Thrashers have won two straight after losing five in a row. Johan Hedberg made 29 saves in regulation and four in the shootout.
Atlanta played without star forward Ilya Kovalchuk, who sat out the game with a knee injury. He is expected to return next week.
Buffalo had a three-game winning streak stopped.
