MINNEAPOLIS, Feb. 1 (UPI) -- Al Jefferson scored 11 of his 25 points in the decisive third quarter Friday, boosting Minnesota to a 104-83 victory over the Los Angeles Clippers.
The Timberwolves rallied from a 10-point deficit in the first half to win their fourth straight home game and their fifth out of seven overall.
Los Angeles, which has lost four out of five, was led by Sam Cassell with 17.
Corey Maggette, the Clippers' leading scorer this season, missed his third straight game with the flu.
The third quarter included a 19-4 Minnesota run that began with a jump shot by Jefferson two minutes into the period.
Los Angeles was trying to win back-to-back games for the first time since opening the season with four straight victories.
