PHILADELPHIA, Jan. 31 (UPI) -- Stephen Valiquette had to make just 20 saves to record the first shutout of his career Thursday in the New York Rangers' 4-0 win over Philadelphia.

Chris Drury paced the offense with a goal and an assist, boosting the Rangers to their third win in four games.

Antero Niittymake started in goal for the Flyers, but was replaced after giving up four goals on 12 shots. Martin Biron stopped all 15 shots he faced in relief.

Philadelphia had won six of its previous seven games.

New York's opening goal came 8:18 into the first period when Drury stole the puck in the neutral zone and fed it to Nigel Dawes, who faked out Niittymake and put the puck into an open net.

It had been a dozen years since the Rangers last shut out the Flyers. New York has also won on Philadelphia home ice six straight times.
