SAN ANTONIO, Jan. 27 (UPI) -- David West scored 32 points Saturday to lead the New Orleans Hornets' 102-78 rout of the San Antonio Spurs.
New Orleans trailed 43-42 at the break but used a 28-6 run at the outset of a 30-14 fourth quarter to ensure its season-high eighth straight victory, its longest in a single season since an eight-game run from Feb. 19-March 7, 2003.
Peja Stojakovic had 22 points and five rebounds.
Additionally, the Hornets established a franchise record with their eighth straight road victory while snapping a six-game losing streak at San Antonio's AT&T Center.
Ime Udoka had 13 points and seven rebounds.
Manu Ginobli scored 11 points and Fabricio Oberto had 10 points and four rebounds for the Spurs, whose overall three-game winning streak ended.
