COL BKB: Tennessee 85, Georgia 69

KNOXVILLE, Tenn., Jan. 27 (UPI) -- Chris Lofton scored 27 points Saturday to lead the fifth-ranked Tennessee Volunteers to an 85-69 victory over the Georgia Bulldogs.

Tyler Smith added 17 points, nine assists and seven rebounds for the Volunteers (17-2, 4-1 SEC), who bounced after a loss to Kentucky on Tuesday ended an 11-game winning streak.

Sundiata Gaines had 20 points for the Bulldogs (11-6, 2-2), who had a two- game winning streak halted. Dave Bliss and Billy Humphrey each added 15 points in the loss.
