COL BKB: Florida 86, Vanderbilt 64

GAINESVILLE, Fla., Jan. 27 (UPI) -- Walter Hodge scored a game-high 19 points Sunday when unranked Florida trampled 13th-ranked Vanderbilt 86-64.

After a slow start, the reigning two-time national champion established its domination by racing out to a 34-6 advantage with 9:14 left in the first half.

During the surge, guard Jai Lucas and forward Jonathan Mitchell sank back-to-back threes by as part of a 23-0 run.

Vanderbilt rallied within 46-31 by halftime but Florida maintained its double-digit advantage through the final 20 minutes.

Florida's Dan Werner had 14 points, nine rebounds and six assists.

Marreese Speights had 12 points and eight rebounds, and Lucas scored 11 for the Gators (18-3, 5-1 SEC), who have won three in a row and seven of their last eight games.

Vanderbilt was led by Alex Gordon's 13 points.

Andre Walker, with 10 points, was the only other player in double figures for the Commodores (17-3, 2-3), who have lost three of their last four after a 16-0 start.
