NBA: Miami 98, Indiana 96

MIAMI, Jan. 26 (UPI) -- Dwayne Wade scored 35 points and a key defensive play Saturday helped Miami snap its 15-game losing streak with a 98-96 victory over the Indiana Pacers.

The Pacers closed to the final score with 1:07 left following a 9-2 spurt but a half-court shot at the buzzer by Indiana's Andre Owens went awry.

Owens' shot came after a swarm of Miami players swatted away an inbound pass.

Marc Blount scored 19 points, Dorell Wright had 14 points and 10 rebounds, Udonis Haslem had 12 points and nine rebounds while Wade also had eight rebounds and four assists for the Heat, who had not won since beating Utah 104-102 on Dec. 22.

They won despite making only 2 of 12 three-pointers.

Indiana got 25 points and six rebounds from Mike Dunleavy.

Andre Owens and Danny Granger scored 13 points apiece and Kareem Rush added 12 points and six rebounds for the Pacers, who have lost three in a row.
