DOHA, Qatar, Jan. 26 (UPI) -- Sweden's Johan Edfors maintained his lead Saturday with a 3-under-par 69 in the third round of the European Tour's Commercialbank Qatar Masters at Doha.
Through 54 holes, Edfors, the second-round leader, has a total of 12-under 204, one stroke better than Scotland's Andrew Coltart (65) heading into Sunday's final round.
Edfors ended his round Saturday with a par at 18.
"A little slump there at the end and (I) really sort of crawled into the scorer's hut," he said. "(But) I'm happy with the way I played, and I will need a low score tomorrow to have a chance of winning."
Coltart, who won the inaugural Qatar Masters in 1998, charged up the leader board with seven birdies and two bogeys through his first 15 holes.
Swede Henrik Stenson (67) and South African Carl Schwartzel (69) share third place at 10-under 206.
