COL FB: South 17, North 16

MOBILE, Ala., Jan. 26 (UPI) -- Andre Caldwell scored a touchdown run on the last play of the game Saturday to give the South a 17-16 win over the North in the college Senior Bowl.

San Francisco 49ers Coach Mike Nolan and his staff guided the South and Oakland Raiders Coach Lane Kiffin and his staff led the North.

The North scored the only touchdown of the first quarter when Michigan's Chad Henne threw a 36-yard pass to California's Lavelle Hawkins. The South evened the score with 8:51 left in the second quarter when Tennessee tight end Brad Cottam caught a six-yard TD pass from Kentucky QB Andre Woodson.

Southern Cal's defensive tackle Sedrick Ellis sacked Woodson with 3:09 left in the half for a safety and a 9-7 lead for the North.

Henne threw a TD pass to Missouri tight end Martin Rucker with 28 seconds gone in the fourth period. Georgia's Brandon Coutu kicked a 20-yard field goal to make it 16-10 with 9:27 left.
