COL BKB: Baylor 116, Texas A&M 110 (5OT)

COLLEGE STATION, Texas, Jan. 24 (UPI) -- Curtis Jerrells scored 11 of his 36 points in the fifth overtime period Wednesday, giving Baylor a marathon 116-110 victory over No. 16 Texas A&M.

Jerrells' point total was a career best and he eventually helped Baylor pull away in a game that took more than three and a half hours to play.

Baylor, which had a 36-69 record over the previous four seasons, improved to 16-2 and is unbeaten in four Big 12 Conference games.

The Aggies (15-4, 1-3) have lost three in a row.

Aaron Bruce added 21 for Baylor, while Texas A&M was led by Bryan Davis with 27.

Texas A&M's Donald Sloan tied the game with three seconds left in regulation when he broke free for a dunk. The Aggies' Dominique Kirk scored on a tip-in with five seconds left in the first extra period to again tie it and neither side could score during the final two minutes of the second overtime.

Jerrells hit a jumper with 10 seconds remaining in the third overtime to again knot the score and a layup by Davis boosted Texas A&M into a tie with nine seconds to go in the fourth overtime.
