Leonard has 4th-round lead at Hope Classic

PALM SPRINGS, Calif., Jan. 19 (UPI) -- Justin Leonard shot a 6-under 66 Saturday to take the fourth round lead at the Bob Hope Chrysler Classic in California.

Leonard, the 2005 winner, finished 72 holes at 23-under-par 265 with one more round on Sunday. Leonard, who has a four-stroke lead, is an 11-time winner on the PGA Tour.

Third-round leader Robert Gamez (71) is tied for second place with D.J. Trahan (70), Anthony Kim (66) and 1995 winner Kenny Perry (66) at 19-under 269.

Play rotated among four courses through the first four rounds -- the Classic Club, the Palmer Course at SilverRock Resort, the Arnold Palmer Private Course at PGA West and La Quinta Country Club. The final round will be played at the Classic Club, where former British Open champ Leonard played Saturday.

Steve Elkington, the 1995 PGA Champion, shot a 67 Saturday and is tied for sixth place with Boo Weekley (69) at 270.
