CHARLOTTE, N.C., Jan. 14 (UPI) -- Gerald Wallace scored a season-high 40 points Monday, allowing the Charlotte Bobcats to edge the Denver Nuggets 119-116.

Emeka Okafor and Matt Carroll added 19 points and Okafor also had 13 rebounds for Charlotte. Raymond Felton had 15 assists for the Bobcats.

Carmelo Anthony scored 35 points for the Nuggets, who had won four of five games entering the contest. Marcus Camby added 20 points and 23 rebounds were both season bests. Allen Iverson had 23 points for Denver.
