NFL: San Diego 28, Indianapolis 24

INDIANAPOLIS, Jan. 13 (UPI) -- Backup quarterback Billy Volek led the San Diego Chargers on a fourth-quarter scoring drive and a 28-24 playoff win against the Indianapolis Colts Sunday.

Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers completed 14 of 19 passes for 264 yards, three scores and an interception before leaving late in the third quarter with an apparent knee injury. Volek stepped in and completed three of four passes for 48 yards and the go-ahead touchdown.

Running back LaDainian Tomlinson also left the game in the second quarter with a left leg injury.

Vincent Jackson had seven catches for 93 yards and a score for San Diego (13-5).

Peyton Manning finished with 402 yards, three touchdowns and two interceptions, on 33-of-48 passing.

Joseph Addai had nine catches for 67 yards and 13 carries for 43 yards, while Dallas Clark had six catches for 95 yards and a touchdown.
