NFL: New England 31, Jacksonville 20

FOXBOROUGH, Mass., Jan. 12 (UPI) -- Tom Brady completed 26 of 28 passes for 262 yards and three TDs Saturday to lead the New England Patriots to a 31-20 win over Jacksonville.

The Patriots (17-0) continued their quest for a perfect championship season with the win in the AFC divisional round of the playoffs.

Brady completed his first 16 passes for the Patriots, who reached the AFC title game for the fourth time in the last five years.

The game was tied 14-14 at halftime. Brady threw touchdown passes to Wes Welker and Benjamin Watson in the third quarter.

Laurence Maroney rushed for 122 yards and a touchdown for the Patriots, just the second team in NFL history to win its first 17 games of a season.

David Garrard connected on 22 of 33 passes for 278 yards with a pair of TDs and an interception for the Jaguars (12-6).
