Josh Howard added 18 for the Mavericks and Jason Terry had 11. Seattle was led by Wally Szczerbiak with 17.

Neither side shot well from the field, with Dallas hitting 40 percent and Seattle 35 percent. The Mavericks, however, made 19 of 21 free throw attempts.

The 70 points represented the lowest Seattle scoring total of the season, breaking the SuperSonics' previous mark for futility by nine.
