INDIANAPOLIS, Jan. 12 (UPI) -- Matt Howard's 17 points Saturday helped No. 14 Butler cruise past Wisconsin-Milwaukee 72-56.
Howard got nine of his points during a 17-2 first-half surge by the Bulldogs (16-1, 5-1 Horizon League), who have won eight straight games.

Pete Campbell added 15 points for Butler.
Paige Paulsen scored 14 points and Deion James 13 for the Panthers (9-8, 4-3). Wisconsin-Milwaukee had won its previous six games.
