NEW YORK, Jan. 4 (UPI) -- The NBA suspended New York Knicks forward Zach Randolph for one game Friday for throwing his headband, which hit a referee.
The incident occurred with 1:47 left to play in the Knicks' 107-97 loss to the Sacramento Kings Wednesday at Madison Square Garden.

Randolph tossed his headband after being whistled for a foul.
Stu Jackson, NBA executive vice president for basketball operations, announced the suspension.
