Iginla scored twice in helping Calgary defeat the Sharks for only the second time in six tries. Iginla ran his goal total for the year to 31.

Miikka Kiprusoff made 34 saves for the Flames.

Alex Tanguay gave Calgary the lead one minute into the game and Torrey Mitchell tied it three minutes later.

Iginla put the Flames back in front late in the first period only to have Craig Rivet deadlock the game once more midway through the second.

That was all the scoring until Iginla was able to wrist a shot past Evgeni Nabokov in the extra time.
