NBA: Washington 101, Milwaukee 77

MILWAUKEE, Jan. 4 (UPI) -- Antawn Jamison scored 24 points Friday, touching off an early surge that carried the Washington Wizards to a 101-77 whipping of Milwaukee.

Washington won for the third time in five games. Antonio Daniels added 14 points and Caron Butler had 13.

Charlie Villanueva scored 20 for Milwaukee, losers of seven out of nine.

Milwaukee was never in the contest, falling behind 12-4 and managing just 10 points in the opening period.

The 31 points the Bucks scored in the first half were a season low. Washington began the second half on a 14-2 run that created a 66-33 advantage.

It was the seventh time this season the Bucks have lost by at least 20 points.
