NHL: Los Angeles 9, Chicago 2

LOS ANGELES, Jan. 2 (UPI) -- The Los Angeles Kings, led by Ladislav Nagy's hat trick and two assists, ripped the Chicago Blackhawks 9-2 Tuesday.

The Kings also got two goals and three assists from Alexander Frolov. Jason LaBarbera backstopped the win by making 31 saves.

Los Angeles has won three straight after an eight-game losing streak.

Martin Lapointe and Patrick Sharp notched the Blackhawks' goals. Chicago has lost two straight after a four-game winning streak.

Starting goalie Nikolai Khabibulin was yanked after giving up four goals on nine shots. Patrick Lalime made 12 saves in relief.

Los Angeles beat the Blackhawks 3-2 in overtime at Chicago Sunday.
