COL BKB: Oklahoma 88, W.Va. 82 (2 OT)

CHARLESTON, W.Va., Dec. 30 (UPI) -- Longar Longar's eight straight points in the second overtime Saturday led Oklahoma to an 88-82 upset of 23rd-ranked West Virginia.

David Godbold had just put the Sooners up 66-64, sinking two free throws with 13 seconds left in regulation, when West Virginia's Alex Ruoff scored off an offensive rebound in the final seconds to send the game into overtime.

West Virginia (10-2) went up 77-73 in the second extra period, but Longar hit two lay-ups and four free throws to put the Sooners (10-3) on top 84-79 with under a minute to go, and Oklahoma held on for its third straight win and its fifth out of six overall.

Blake Griffin had 18 points and 16 rebounds, Longar scored 22 and Godbold had 18 points and seven rebounds for the Sooners.

Alexander scored 21 points and had seven rebounds for West Virginia, which had an eight-game winning streak snapped.
