COL BKB: Memphis 76, Arizona 63

MEMPHIS, Dec. 30 (UPI) -- Robert Dozier had 18 points and five rebounds Saturday, helping No. 2 Memphis beat 18th-ranked Arizona 76-63.

Chris Douglas-Roberts scored 17 points and pulled down five boards, and Shawn Taggart had 15 points and seven rebounds for the Tigers (11-0).

Chase Budinger led all scorers with 20 points and grabbed six rebounds, and Jordan Hill scored 14 for the Wildcats (9-3), who lost for the first time in seven games.

Arizona got off to a strong start, riding a 10-2 run to a 14-6 lead -- but the Wildcats suddenly went cold and went almost 12 minutes without scoring a basket, while the Tigers put together a 25-4 streak and took a 34-24 lead at the break.

Memphis went on a 10-3 spree in the second half to go up 49-35. The Wildcats cut the lead to 69-61 with 1:39 left to play, but then Memphis scored seven straight points to ice it.
