TAMPA, Fla., Dec. 29 (UPI) -- Led by Joffrey Lupul's goal and two assists Saturday, the Philadelphia Flyers beat the Tampa Bay Lightning 4-2.
Lupul's 16th goal this season, at 7:13 of the first period, started the scoring. He then assisted on Mike Knuble's 11th goal in the second and Scott Hartnell's power play score 31 seconds into the third.
Tampa Bay's goals were scored by Vincent Lacavalier (power play) in the first and Vaclav Prospal in the third. It was Lacavalier's 26th this season and Prospal's 17th.
Karri Ramo was beaten four times on 22 Philadelphia shots.
On the power play, Philadelphia went 2 for 5 and Tampa Bay went 1 for 5.
