NBA: Phoenix 94, LA Clippers 88

PHOENIX, Dec. 29 (UPI) -- Amare Stoudemire made two key shots down the stretch and scored 28 points Friday in leading the Phoenix Suns past the Los Angeles Clippers 94-88.

The Suns swept a home-and-home series, with Grant Hill scoring 22 points and Shawn Marion 18. Phoenix has won three out of four.

Los Angeles, which has lost six straight, was paced by Chris Kaman with 22 points and 20 rebounds.

Sam Cassell hit a three-pointer for the Clippers that brought them within one with 1:35 to play. Stoudemire then hit two straight field goals for a five-point Phoenix lead.

Los Angeles climbed back within three on Corey Maggette's two free throws with 32 seconds left, but Steve Nash hit a jumper with 14 seconds to go to wrap up the victory.

Nash scored only 10 points, but had 10 assists.
