CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas, Dec. 28 (UPI) -- Will Daniels and Jimmy Baron both scored 18 points Friday in carrying No. 25 Rhode Island past Eastern Michigan 92-75.
The game was part of the first round of the Islander Invitational. Rhode Island will play for the tournament title Saturday against either Georgia Southern or host Texas A&M-Corpus Christi.

The Rams (12-1) won their seventh straight game while getting 16 points each from Keith Cothran and Kahiem Seawright.
Eastern Michigan (4-6) was paced by 12 points from Zane Gay.
Rhode Island finished the first half on a 15-8 run to take a 51-41 advantage at the break. The Rams scored the first eight points of the second half and coasted from there.
