NEW YORK, Dec. 25 (UPI) -- New York guard Stephon Marbury is expected to return to the Knicks Wednesday when they play in Orlando.
Marbury, who last played on Dec. 17 against Indiana, missed the Knicks' last three games and seven of their last eight following the Dec. 2 death of his father.
The New York Post reported Tuesday that Marbury is expected to rejoin the team on its trip to Florida.
He played both games of a home-and-home set against Philadelphia early in the month but then skipped four straight games before returning versus Cleveland. Marbury was in uniform for the following game on Dec. 19 against Cleveland, but received a 'Did Not Play' for the night's action.
Marbury, 30, is averaging 13.6 points and 4.7 assists for the Knicks this season.
New York, which holds a 3-8 record in the 11 games since Marbury's father's death, is 8-19 on the season and in last place in the Atlantic Division.
