NBA: LA Lakers 106, Philadelphia 101

PHILADELPHIA, Dec. 21 (UPI) -- Andrew Bynum scored a career-high 24 points Friday to help the Los Angeles Lakers upend the Philadelphia 76ers, 106-101.

Los Angeles took control of the tight contest when Jordan Farmar sank a three-pointer to open a 9-2 spurt to start the fourth quarter.

He closed it with a reverse layup to push the Lakers' lead to 93-83 with 8:56 remaining.

The closest Philadelphia came was 96-91 on Willie Green's layup with 4:32 left.

Derek Fisher had 21 points and seven assists.

Lamar Odom had 21 points and 11 rebounds, and Kobe Bryant had 19 points and seven rebounds for the Lakers, who won at Philadelphia for the first time in nearly eight years.

Philadelphia was led by Andre Miller's 21 points and eight assists.

Andre Iguodala had 20 points and nine assists.

Green scored 16 points, and Samuel Dalembert added 10 points and 14 rebounds for the 76ers, who have lost three of four.
