NHL: Chicago 5, Nashville 2

CHICAGO, Dec. 20 (UPI) -- Two goals each from Patrick Sharp and Robert Lang Wednesday carried Chicago to a 5-2 victory over Nashville.

It was only the second win in eight games for the Blackhawks, who also got a goal from Dustin Byfuglien and three assists from Martin Havlat. Nikolai Khabibulin made 19 saves.

Nashville has dropped five straight and seven out of eight. J.P. Dumont and Radek Bonk scored for the Predators.

Nashville goaltender Chris Mason gave up goals on the first two shots he saw and was removed from the game.

Chicago scored three times in the first 10 minutes to take a 3-0 lead. The third goal came from Sharp, who scored shorthanded for a league-leading sixth time this year.
