NBA: New Orleans 107, Seattle 93

SEATTLE, Dec. 20 (UPI) -- Morris Peterson helped touch off a run late in the second quarter Wednesday that vaulted New Orleans to a 107-93 win over Seattle.

Peterson scored 25 points and Chris Paul had 21 for the Hornets, who made 12 of 23 shots from three-point range.

New Orleans went on a 19-7 run to end the first half, giving the Hornets a 52-33 lead at intermission. Seattle came no closer than 11 during the final two periods.

Kevin Durant led the SuperSonics with 18 points.

The Hornets have won both games between the teams this season and have defeated Seattle four straight times overall.

New Orleans' Peja Stojakovic missed his third straight game with a strained left groin.
