TORONTO, Dec. 10 (UPI) -- Chad Kilger scored two goals, and the Toronto Maple Leafs rode a four-goal second period Monday to a 6-1 win over the Tampa Bay Lightning.
Vesa Toskala stopped 26 of the 27 shots he faced as the Maple Leafs beat the Lightning for the sixth consecutive time.
Michel Ouellet scored the lone goal for Tampa Bay, which gave up a flurry of goals after forward Brad Richards left the game with an apparent knee injury midway through the second period. Johan Holmqvist made 18 saves before being taken out in favor of Marc Denis, who made five.
The loss dropped Tampa Bay's road record to 2-11-1.
