NHL: Dallas 5, Edmonton 4 (OT)

DALLAS, Dec. 10 (UPI) -- Brenden Morrow scored late in overtime Monday, securing the Dallas Stars a 5-4 victory over the Edmonton Oilers.

Morrow, in a 4-on-3 power play, relayed a wrister from Sergei Zubov past Mathieu Garon to help the Stars end a two-game losing streak.

Zubov had a goal and three assists, and Matt Niskanen, who also assisted on the game-winner, had a goal and two assists for Dallas. Mike Ribeiro had a goal and an assist, and Mike Modano also scored for the Stars, who improved to 4-0 in overtime this season.

Marty Turco had 17 saves and did not face a shot in the extra period.

Dustin Penner had a goal and an assist, and Shawn Horcoff scored for Edmonton, which has lost three straight. Garon ended with 22 saves on 24 shots in relief of starter Dwayne Roloson, who was pulled after allowing three goals on six shots.
