LOS ANGELES, Dec. 9 (UPI) -- Dwyane Wade Sunday scored a season-high 35 points, leading the Miami Heat past the Los Angeles Clippers 100-94.
In his best game in a season marred by a persistent shoulder injury, the all-star guard added 10 assists and five rebounds.
The Clippers trailed 90-80 with 3:29 to play. A Tim Thomas three-pointer capped a 10-0 LA run before Wade's jumper with 1:57 left gave the Heat the lead for good.
Miami got 17 points and nine rebounds from Udonis Haslem. Ricky Davis also scored 17 points and Chris Quinn added 13 points, three rebounds and three assists for the Heat, who won for the first time on a six-game road trip.
The victory gave Miami's Pat Riley the 1,200th win of his NBA coaching career.
Los Angeles was led by Corey Maggette with 24 points, 12 rebounds and six assists. Chris Kaman and Cuttino Mobley scored 14 points apiece for the Clippers, who have lost eight of their last nine games.
