COL BKB: Kansas 84, DePaul 66

LAWRENCE, Kan., Dec. 8 (UPI) -- Reserve Sasha Kaun led a balanced Kansas attack with 15 points and the No. 3 Jayhawks held DePaul to 39 percent shooting Saturday in an 84-66 victory.

Joining Kaun in double figures were Brandon Rush and Darrell Arthur with 13 points each, and Mario Chalmers with 12 points, nine rebounds and seven assists. Kaun hit six of seven shots, including six points to key a first-half spurt.

Kansas (9-0), which has won 23 of its last 24 games going back to last season, shot 52.3 percent from the field.

Dar Tucker's 18 points and 11 rebounds led DePaul (2-3), which also got 10 points apiece from Draelon Burns and Karron Clarke. Mac Koshwal added nine points and 10 rebounds for the Blue Demons, who managed just 6-of-20 from the floor in the first half.

Kansas forged a 39-22 halftime lead and pushed ahead in the second half, reaching a 30-point margin at 79-49 with 4:30 left. The Jayhawks also forced 22 turnovers by the Blue Demons.
