Vermette and Kelly also had one assist apiece, while goalie Ray Emery stopped 23 of 25 shots for the Senators, who snapped a seven-game winless streak (0-4-3) earlier this week.

Dallas, which never led in the contest, got one goal each from Niklas Hagman (power play) and Mike Ribeiro.

Goaltender Mike Smith was beaten three times on 19 shots for the Stars, who had won two straight and three of the last four contests against Ottawa before Friday's setback.

On the power play, Ottawa went 1 for 5, and the Stars were 1 for 6.
