NEW YORK, Dec. 5 (UPI) -- Indianapolis Colts quarterback Peyton Manning Wednesday was named AFC Offensive Player of the Week.
Last Sunday, he completed 20 of 29 passes for 288 yards with four touchdowns and one interception in the Colts' 28-25 victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars.
It is the 16th AFC weekly player honor of his career after his first four-touchdown game this season.
Other AFC honorees were San Diego linebacker Shawne Merriman (defense) and Buffalo placekicker Rian Lindell (special teams).
Their NFC counterparts were Dallas quarterback Tony Romo (offense), Seattle linebacker Lofa Tatupu (defense), and Minnesota kick returner Aundrae Allison (special teams).
Romo completed 19 of 30 passes for 309 yards with four touchdowns and one interception in the Cowboys' 37-27 win over Green Bay.
Tatupu recorded a team-high 11 tackles and a career-best three interceptions in the Seahawks' 28-24 win at Philadelphia, and Allison returned three kickoffs for 143 yards, including the longest play in franchise history (103 yards) in the Vikings' 42-10 win against Detroit.
