PITTSBURGH, Dec. 5 (UPI) -- Sam Young was one of four Pittsburgh players in double figures Wednesday, scoring 23 while leading the Panthers past Duquesne 73-68.

The ninth-ranked Panthers, who also got 12 from Mike Cook, ran their record to 8-0. It was Pittsburgh's first road game of the season but it was played just two miles from the Panthers' campus.

Duquesne, which opened the season with six straight wins, has now dropped two in a row. Shawn James led the Dukes with 20 points. He blocked five shots and leads the nation with 5.25 per contest.

Pittsburgh scored the game's first 14 points and appeared on its way to an easy win. The Dukes, however, closed to within a point with two minutes to go before Young hit a three-pointer to slow down the comeback bid.
