NHL: Tampa Bay 4, Ottawa 3 (SO)

TAMPA, Fla., Dec. 4 (UPI) -- Vaclav Prospal's low wrist shot past Ray Emery Tuesday gave the Tampa Bay Lightning a 4-3 shootout win over the slumping Ottawa Senators.

The Lightning, which now has won two straight after a six-game winless streak, got to overtime thanks to goals by Mathieu Darche, Chris Gratton and Filip Kuba. Marty St. Louis assisted on two of them.

Johan Holmqvist stopped 26 shots to earn the victory.

Daniel Alfredsson scored twice for Ottawa, winless in their last seven games (0-5-2). Wade Redden's fourth goal of the season tied the game with 1:21 remaining in the third period.

Emery allowed three goals on 28 Tampa Bay shots.

The Senators had started the season 16-3-0 record.
