NFL: New England 27, Baltimore 24

BALTIMORE, Dec. 4 (UPI) -- Jabar Gaffney pulled in a Tom Brady pass for an eight-yard score with 44 seconds left Monday, lifting undefeated New England to a 27-24 win over Baltimore.

It initially looked as if Gaffney may have bobbled the ball while getting both feet down inside the left corner of the end zone. But a review of the play showed it was a touchdown.

The Patriots drove the ball 73 yards in 13 plays for the winning drive that gave them a 12-0 record. New England is seeking to match the 1972 Miami Dolphins, the only team in NFL history to finish a season unbeaten.

The Ravens (4-8), who came into the game as the fourth-ranked defense in the NFL, came close to regaining the lead when Kyle Boller completed a 52-yard pass to Mark Clayton but he was gang-tackled on the three-yard line on the final play.
