NBA: Phoenix 121, Indiana 117

INDIANAPOLIS, Dec. 4 (UPI) -- Amare Stoudemire scored 42 points and grabbed 13 rebounds Tuesday, helping the Phoenix Suns engineer a 121-117 win over the Indiana Pacers.

Steve Nash added 18 points and had 17 assists for Phoenix, which won its third straight game. All five Suns starters scored in double digits, as Raja Bell chipped in 17, Grant Hill added 16, and Shawn Marion had 14 and 12 rebounds.

Jermaine O'Neal scored 30 points and pulled down 11 rebounds to lead Pacers, who dropped two of their last three. Mike Dunleavy scored 22, and Jamaal Tinsley had 19 points and 12 assists for Indiana in its fifth straight loss against the Suns.

The Suns led to 96-90 after three quarters, but the Pacers began the fourth period on an 8-0 run, tied the game 98-98 and took a 115-111 lead with just over three minutes to go.

Stoudemire hit a jumper with 1:25 left, trimming the Suns' deficit to two points. Tinsley answered with a jumper 10 seconds later, giving Indiana a 117-113 lead. It was Indiana's final basket.
