COL BKB: North Carolina 86, Kentucky 77

LEXINGTON, Ky., Dec. 1 (UPI) -- Top-ranked North Carolina got a 20-point boost from reserve Danny Green Saturday in an 86-77 victory over Kentucky.

The Tar Heels (7-0) used a 13-0 run early in the second half to break open a close game.

Wayne Ellington scored 18 points for North Carolina, while Tyler Hansbrough, an all-America candidate, was limited to two field goals and 14 points.

Joe Crawford topped Kentucky's scoring with 21 points. Ramel Bradley and Patrick Patterson added 19 each for the Wildcats (4-2).
