COL BKB: Duke 79, Davidson 73

CHARLOTTE, N.C., Dec. 1 (UPI) -- Greg Paulus' clutch shooting in the closing minutes helped unbeaten No. 7 Duke hold off Davidson 79-73 Saturday.

Paulus and Davidson's Stephen Curry matched three-point shots with under a minute and a half to go, but Paulus then followed with an off-balance jump shot to push the Blue Devils (8-0) ahead by seven points with 32 seconds left.

Gerald Henderson scored 21 points for the Devils. John Scheyer had 15, Kyle Singler 14 and Paulus and DeMarcus Nelson 11 each.

Curry led Davidson (3-3) with 20 points, even though he sat out much of the game because of foul trouble. Jason Richards added 14 points and Boris Meno 13 for the Wildcats.
