Rogers, a four-time all-star, has a record of 210-143 over 19 years.. He was on the disabled list twice last season and started just 11 games. His record was 3-4 with an ERA of 4.43.

After the season, Rogers said he was uncertain about continuing to play. He later decided that he would and his agent talked to some other teams, but the pitcher said his first priority all along was returning to the Tigers.
