KNOXVILLE, Tenn., Nov. 30 (UPI) -- Tyler Smith scored 22 points and No. 12 Tennessee continued its success from long range Friday night while blasting Louisiana-Lafayette 98-70.
Five Volunteers were in double figures as Tennessee made 12 three-point shots. The Volunteers were averaging 10 threes per game coming into the contest.

Tennessee improved to 7-1. After grabbing a 46-27 halftime lead the Volunteers opened the second period on a 15-7 run.
Louisiana-Lafayette (1-4) was led by Chris Gradnigo with 15 points.
