IRVING, Texas, Nov. 29 (UPI) -- Tony Romo's four touchdown passes Thursday night allowed Dallas to fight off a Green Bay rally and claim a playoff berth with a 37-27 win over the Packers.
In a battle of the top two teams in the NFC, Green Bay lost superstar quarterback Brett Favre with an arm injury in the second quarter. Aaron Rodgers replaced Favre and helped cut a 17-point deficit to three late in the third period.
Romo, however, hit Patrick Crayton with a four-yard scoring pass midway through the fourth quarter for a 10-point lead.
After the Packers closed within seven on a 52-yard field goal by Mason Crosby with 5:03 to play, Dallas drove to a game-clinching, 25-yard field goal by Nick Folk with 63 seconds left.
Dallas improved to 11-1 and Green Bay fell to 10-2. The Cowboys clinched at least a wild-card spot and will capture the NFC East title this weekend if the New York Giants lose to Chicago.
Romo's other touchdown throws were three yards to Crayton, 26 to Anthony Fasano and 10 to Terrell Owens as the Cowboys built a 27-10 lead.
Ryan Grant ran for two Green Bay touchdowns, including a 62-yarder in the first half.
