COL BKB: West. Mich. 83, Davidson 76

KALAMAZOO, Mich., Nov. 21 (UPI) -- Derek Drews led five Western Michigan players in double figures with 18 points Wednesday as the Broncos topped No. 25 Davidson 83-76.

WMU never trailed, and led the tightly played contest 40-34 at halftime and by as many as eight points in the second half.

Shawntes Gary had 17 points and seven rebounds, David Kool scored 13 points, Mike Riddell had 11 points and nine assists, and Joe Reitz added 10 points and six assists for the Broncos (4-2).

Davidson was led by Stephen Curry's 25 points. Jason Richards had 23 points, eight assists and three rebounds. Thomas Sander added nine points and six rebounds for the Wildcats (1-2), who suffered their second straight loss.
