COL BKB: Texas A&M 77, Washington 63

NEW YORK, Nov. 21 (UPI) -- David Sloan scored a career-high 18 points Wednesday as 15th-ranked Texas A&M rallied for a 77-63 victory over Washington.

The contest was part of the NIT Season Tip-off at New York's Madison Square Garden.

A&M came to life after slogging to a 36-32 halftime deficit. The Aggies came out of the locker room and turned the contest in its favor by outscoring the losers 45-27 in the final 20 minutes.

A basket by Sloan and a three-pointer by Joseph Jones put Texas A&M ahead for good, 48-44, with 12:08 remaining.

Jones had 17 points and nine rebounds, Dominique Kirk scored 15 points, and DeAndre Jordan had eight points and 12 rebounds for the Aggies (5-0), who will play either Syracuse or Ohio State for the title Friday.

Washington got 21 points and 15 rebounds from Jon Brockman.

Joe Wolfinger had 12 points and five rebounds, while Justin Dentmon scored 10 points for the Huskies (3-1), who led by as many as 10 points in the first half.
