COL BKB: Indiana 99, Chattanooga 79

BLOOMINGTON, Ind., Nov. 12 (UPI) -- Freshman Eric Gordon scored 33 points Monday as ninth-ranked Indiana pulled away in the second half for a 99-79 victory over Chattanooga.

Armon Bassett added 20 points, six rebounds and five assists for the Hoosiers (1-0), who won their 23rd straight home opener. D.J. White had 17 points and Jordan Crawford 13 points.

Kevin Bridgewaters had 14 points -- all in the first half -- for Chattanooga (1-1). Kevin Goffney added 13 points and Nicchaeus Doaks 12 points and eight rebounds in the loss.

Indiana, down by four points at halftime, started the second half with an 11-2 surge.
